Language Communication Audit
Thank you for booking a Language Communication Audit. It would be very helpful if you could complete the
following questionnaire in advance of your Audit.
The purpose of the questionnaire is to cut down the time spent asking necessary questions about “background
information” on the day of the Audit itself,
and also to scope what can feasibly be covered in a one-day Language Communication Audit.
The questionnaire focuses on three main areas:
Your current exports
Staff involved in exporting and existing language skills within the company
1. CURRENT EXPORTS:
Please indicate below:
the countries to which you are currently exporting
the approximate annual sales turnover in that market (£ or % of total sales)
the sales method(s) you use in that market e.g. distributor, agent, sell direct, export house, web
the language(s) you use in your dealings with that market
Comments*: Please give any information you feel is relevant about communications with your
customers in that market
e.g. 'very difficult to understand on the phone', 'speaks perfect English - ex pat!', 'cultural issues with this
Difficulties*: If you consider the complete order process, from receiving the initial enquiry
to the point the goods are accepted by the customer,
how often would you say that communications difficulties arise when dealing with a typical customer?
